Universal Prayer — Baptism Celebration (with family)

On this joyful day for [N.] and all their family, let us turn to the Lord with confidence.

1. For the Church

   That every Christian community may know how to welcome families requesting baptism and accompany them on their journey of faith. Lord, hear us.

2. For the World

   That the rights of every child may be respected throughout the world and that every new life may be welcomed as a treasure. Lord, hear us.

   Lord, hear us.

3. For the Suffering

   For sick, hospitalized, or abandoned children; for their families in times of trial. May the tenderness of God surround them. Lord, hear us.

4. For [N.] and their family

   For [N.]: that the waters of baptism may cleanse and renew their life. For their parents: that they may find joy and patience in their mission as educators. For their godparents: that they may be shining witnesses. Lord, hear us.

Good and gracious God, You have willed that we be Your children. Bless [N.] and surround their family with Your grace so that they may grow in love and faithfulness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
