Universal Prayer — Funeral of [N.]

Brothers and sisters, as we entrust [N.] to the mercy of God, let us confidently offer our prayers to the Father.

1. For the Church

   That the Church, in her mission of hope, may be close to all who mourn the loss of a loved one and bear witness to the resurrection. Lord, hear our prayer.

   For the victims of war, violence, and disasters; for all those whose death goes unnoticed. May God welcome them into His light. Lord, hear our prayer.

   For the family and loved ones of [N.]: may the God of all consolation wipe away their tears and give them the strength to live in the hope of being reunited. Lord, hear our prayer.

   For [N.], whom we entrust today to the Father's tenderness: may the Lord welcome him/her into eternal peace and grant him/her a share in the joy of the saints. Lord, hear our prayer.
