Prayer of the Faithful for a baptism
Baptism is the first of the sacraments of Christian initiation. The Prayer of the Faithful at a baptism celebration prays for the newly baptised, their parents, godparents, and the whole Church that welcomes a new brother or sister.
Structure
Four to five intentions: for the baptised (by name), for the parents committing to raise them in faith, for the godfather and godmother as witnesses of the Church, for the catechumens preparing for baptism worldwide, and for the welcoming Church.
